Kindly suggest whether we should appoint one person for an internship. He was on an internship from 27th October 2023 to 30th April 2023. The position was confirmed to us on 1st May. Currently, he is serving a one-month notice period and will be completing it by 31st August 2023, fulfilling his responsibilities until then.
Now, the question arises: will he receive an experience letter covering the period from 27th October 2023 to 31st August 2023, or only after his confirmation, i.e., from 1st May 2023 to 31st August 2023?

Hi, Either way, you can issue separate letters for the internship and employment or combine both into one letter mentioning the periods as below:
This is to certify that Mr. ______ was employed with us from ____ to ____. During this period, his performance was found to be good. He was in receipt of a CTC salary of Rs. _____.
Prior to this, Mr. ______ had undergone internship training in our organization from ____ to ____.
We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

You are advised to issue the internship completion certificate separately for the period from 27th October 2023 to 30th April 2023. After that, you can issue a separate experience and relieving letter for the period from 1st May 2023 to 31st August 2023. This is the clearer way based on my experience.
