Hi, sir/madam, In 2019, I applied for a job in a company, but due to some issues, I didn't join them, although I had already provided my documents such as Aadhar and PAN card. However, when I checked my EPFO portal, it showed that I had worked with them from 1-12-2019 to 1-12-2019, with the same-day entry and exit. When I contacted the company regarding this matter and inquired about my documents, they provided me with an experience letter indicating that I had worked with them from 1-8-2019 to 12-9-2019. Now, it's becoming very complicated for me to justify this discrepancy. I am supposed to join a new organization next week, and there will be a background check. How can I prove to them that the information provided by my previous company was false? Please help.

Kindly check the contribution for 1-12-2019 to 1-12-2019. If it is not showing, you can inform your current employer that it may have been mistakenly omitted from the portal. However, if there is a contribution showing for the said period, it may lead to a problem.

Secondly, have you not worked anywhere between 1-12-2019 to 1-12-2019? This can be rectified by submitting a letter through the company to the EPFO addressing the mistake. The principal employer is the only one authorized to take action in such cases. As an employee, you do not have the authority to modify any details regarding your company tenure.

You inform them as follows: "I had shared the documents before the joining process, but due to some personal reasons, I am unable to join the team. As a result, they scheduled the joining and relieving dates for the same day."

However, an employee's joining and relieving dates cannot be the same.
