Hello all,
I have a query regarding my resignation scenario. I resigned within a month of joining an MNC organization. However, I got confused and revoked my resignation by requesting management. Now, I am again considering resigning in a few weeks. I am unsure of how to proceed and handle this situation. I am prepared to comply with the separation policies, but I am uncertain about how they will react. Could this have any negative impact on my profile for future background verification? Can they terminate me if I resign again?
Please suggest.

You should stick to one decision. Understand that every decision will involve an element of risk, and a decision to leave an organization or join another organization should also involve risk. Since your employer has permitted you to withdraw the resignation once, it is not ethical to leave that establishment now. This will certainly affect your future.

Hi, it is not very clear on what basis you revoked the resignation initially and now want to submit the resignation again.
If you submit the resignation again and are willing to serve proper notice, the employer has no other option but to accept it.
While resignation is your right, just imagine the situation of the employer. Based on your cancellation, they might have considered you as a headcount for the projected project work. It is all about credibility. They might not consider your future re-employment.

Hi Lakshminarayan, I am not happy with the work, so I want to resign. I revoked it once as I was not sure about this unhappy feeling then. I totally understand the fault is on my side for creating this confusion. But if it's really hard for me every day to work, then I am thinking of resigning again. I want to know, can they take any negative action against me for this? Something like termination or anything that could cause issues for my future employments through background verification. Please advise

Hi, Termination is an extreme step. You haven't involved yourself in any misconduct or violated the rules and regulations of the company, so there are remote chances for termination. As already stated, they might not consider your future re-employment. Also, there is nothing to worry about regarding BGV as well. They will share the details as per the file. It is just your assumption that something negative might happen, so get rid of it.

Hi Lakshminarayan sir, I appreciate you responding to my query. I understand your reply. However, during a recent informal lunch table discussion, I expressed my dissatisfaction to my manager. He advised me not to bring up the topic of resignation again, as it could lead to termination. This has left me a bit concerned. Could you please advise me on whether I should still proceed with my resignation? Is this the manager's personal perspective, or can he genuinely influence the final decision? Can they overrule the policy?
Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, For terminations, there should be a strong cause. Our opinions/advice are based on your narration. Probably, if feasible, you may postpone your resignation for some time or justify your resignation with a proper reason.

I have narrated the current scenario exactly as it happened, sir. I have not hidden anything. I resigned and then requested to revoke the resignation. Initially, they said no, but after requesting again, they agreed. During a call, they mentioned they hope I won't get confused again. Now, I want to resign once more. This is the exact scenario, sir. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
