Hi, I was relieved from Organization A on 21st Dec 2022. I joined Organization B on 29th Dec 2022. After 60 days, I tried to mark the exit in the Org A PF account. However, I am not getting the option to select 21st Dec since the last contribution made by Employer A is in January 2023. I can only choose Jan 1st, 2023, as my exit date for Employer A. If I do, it will overlap with my new organization as the joining date here is 29th Dec. What will be the right approach to proceed with this issue? Should I ask my previous organization to mark the exit date as 21st Dec?

You should ask the previous employer to correct the date of exit to 21st Dec 2022. If you were paid salary until 21st Dec and contributions were remitted until that date, obviously, the date of exit should be 21st Dec only. If they have put a date in January 2023, they should correct it.

@Madhu, thank you, sir, for the valuable reply. I will follow up with my previous employer to set the exit date as December 21st.
I have one more doubt.
Let's say my previous employer marked the exit date as December 21st, but there was a contribution made already in January 2023 from their side. After the correction, when I try to merge/transfer the PF to the new account, as the contribution month and exit date are different, would that be a problem? Will the transfer get rejected due to this?

Certainly, your transfer request will be rejected in such a case. Therefore, the previous employer who has paid contributions erroneously should correct it with the EPFO. Only after that, you can proceed with the necessary transactions in your account. This issue should also be taken care of by the previous employer because it was their mistake.
