Dear All, I have a query regarding PF modifications in my current organization. Currently, we deduct 12% on the basic salary as a PF component. However, we now want to modify it so that for those whose basic salary is above 15,000, the PF deduction will be a fixed amount of 1,800. Is this possible? If so, what is the process for implementing this change?

You can restrict the employer contribution to the statutory limit by informing the RPFC concerned. If you have trade union(s) functioning in your unit, you will have to take them into confidence, lest it becomes a major IR issue. So take care in implementing the process of change.
