Hello concerned, I am joining a proprietorship firm where the old staff has not received an appointment letter. Can I provide them with the same letter, but with the current date and salary, while keeping the original date of joining (DOJ)? Please guide.

It would, under certain circumstances, be a problem for you if you issue appointment letters now. Instead, you can issue increment letters, clarifications, or some other document that can mention the salary, date of joining, and other critical information.
