Dear all,

I have gone through an interview with one of the MNCs. I have received confirmation of selection after each round of interviews. On 09/02/2022, I received a final confirmation call from HR. She mentioned that I have cleared all rounds of interviews and have been shortlisted. Additionally, a pre-joining meeting (document filling) was conducted on 21/02/2022. During the meeting, I inquired about the offer letter as I had not received it. The response was that I would receive it soon. However, as of 28/02/2022, I still had not received the offer letter. Upon contacting HR on 28/02/2022, I was assured that it would be sent to me by the end of the day. Unfortunately, as of today (3/03/2022), I have yet to receive it.

Should I reject the offer or wait for some more time?

Dear Jaypal Singh,

You have cleared all the rounds of the recruitment process and have also completed the necessary documentations. You have done everything possible from your end. Therefore, please be patient and await the offer letter. Clearly communicate to them that you will not submit a resignation letter to your current company until you receive the offer letter, and your notice period will commence from the day of resignation submission.

It is common for companies to experience delays in their processes. Since you have not yet received an offer letter, there is no formal rejection. However, you do have the option to withdraw your candidacy. Considering you have successfully passed multiple rounds, it might be risky to withdraw at this stage. You will need to assess this situation carefully.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
