Hi all,
I have a query regarding leaves. My company is calculating salary based on working days, which is 20. If they calculate like this, LOP per day will be very high. Previously, they used to calculate salary based on calendar days, but if a person takes leave on Friday and Monday, they used to deduct four days' salary. Is this the correct method to calculate salary?
Please reply.

Hi Praveen,
It depends on the company policy. Many companies have adopted the same policy that if somebody asks for leave on a weekend and then requests leave for the first day of the upcoming week consecutively, they may mark it as absent or require approval for all four days of leave in a row.
It would be advisable to review your company's leave policy.
