My previous organization reported in the background check that I had not served the notice period and had absconded, but this is not true. I had given one month's notice, but due to some health issues, I could not complete the notice period. When I left the organization, I even inquired about any penalties for not serving the full three months' notice. They informed me that as I was considered on probation, there was no such requirement, and they provided me with the full and final settlement document. Now, the previous organization has reported that I absconded.
I have submitted the emails where I formally resigned and also provided the full and final settlement letter issued by the previous organization to my current employer. I am concerned about what actions my current organization may take in response to this situation.
