Providing the basic information apart, also confirm why you are required to work for 10 hours a day. Do you have a 5-day week or a 6-day week? Since when have you started working for 10 hours? Is it the norm or a new normal after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic?
Have you expressed your concern to the HR of your company? What is their take? Long working hours disturb the work and family life balance. However, traditionally, Indian bosses prefer long working hours. Rather than focusing on the productivity of the employee, their preference is for a long stay in the office. Working long hours in the office is also considered a sign of loyalty. Though India is getting integrated into the global economy, Indian business owners are yet to adopt global productivity norms.
