Dear all,

Most of the HR professionals usually say that the Manufacturing industry is best for our career. But, what about the Construction Industry? How is it for HR professionals? Share your views, please.

HR in the Construction Industry

Yes, in the construction industry, you will find more administrative and day-to-day activities to do. On construction project sites, there are very few HR activities.

I have been in the construction industry for more than 6 years, handling HR & Admin on project sites. I was not satisfied with the HR initiatives, so I decided to switch to the head office of a construction company. Now, I am able to handle HR activities.

Still, I find that manufacturing setups or service industries have more formal exposure to HR initiatives, whereas the construction industry provides more exposure to different practical problems related to human areas of manpower.

Thanks,
