Hi,
Recently i was interviewed by Infoys Ltd. and they selected me for the position also, but they said offer letter will be roll 0ut in 2 week of time span.
So after few days they have contacted me saying your previous company Vodafone is our client so you need to send us Signed Declaration form stating you were not associated with any Contract/Bond with Vodafone and not associated with any account/project which was related to infosys.
So i have sent them the declaration form also, and i had left Vodafone 1 year ago and now i am working for different company for past 1 year.
And Infosys haven't replied anything after that, so i again contacted them to know the status, so They said your application is still in progress and it is stuck in legal formalities as Vodafone is our client and company can not hire from client company, although we have sent your declaration to them but i see no positive sign now, HR also mentioned that , We are not yet Rejecting you however we are also not offering letter right now, your application is still in process and it will need longer time.
I am so disappointed right now, even after getting selected for position, they are still judging me for my previous company where i used to work for period Oct 2016 to Oct 2017, its not even my current company anymore.
Please can any one advice me on this, is there any hope i could get the offer letter ??? is there any exception made in such a case ???
How can i see that policy ??

Dear friend,
In my opinion this is an unnecessary issue created out of ignorance or excess of enthusiasm exercised by some one in your prospective employer's organization. When it is abundantly clear that you are no more associated with Vodafone and you are in the employment of some other organization for the past one year period, where is the question of your source of recruitment being one from a client Company of Infosys? Such a question would be pertinent to some extent if your present employer also happens to be a client of Infosys or that of Vodafone. Even otherwise, complete discharge from the contractual liabilities under any employment bond with the current employer by a serving employee aspiring for a fresh employment elsewhere is a general precondition for a formal relief from the present job. I do not think that such vital information pertaining to the recruiter's employment policy would have escaped the attention of the recruiter in the initial stage of recruitment itself. When you've submitted your declaration to the effect of having no subsisting contractual liability with Vodafone, how you would be responsible for the delay,if any in the clearance of positive cross reference due to no response from them?
If I were in your position I will simply write to them politely that as any further delay in confirmation of my appointment would lead to practical difficulties in complying with the notice conditions of my present job I would not be in a position to comply with the joining conditions and therefore request them to issue the appointment orders within a reasonable time failing which I may have to reconsider my joining.
It is the policy of the organization. No outsider can question it.

@Umakanthan.M this is exactly what i told to Talent Acquisition Lead of Infosys, but as per them its their policy and they need to follow the process. i don't see a point why would there will be any problem as i am no longer associated with Vodafone, i even told them that the position and department which i used to work in Vodafone is completely different than the position you selected for me here in Infosys.
they even told me that no further documents or anything required from your side, we are trying on internal level but the process will take longer time and shocking thing i heard from them is, He said as of now there is not positive sign on this right now.
so why would they shortlist candidates on first place and select them, after selection, we goes in mindset that, yes now there will be no problem now, we hope for good and then they strike you with these things.
As of now i haven't resigned from my current organization and i will not resign unless i get any concrete update on selection in written and offer letter.
But Companies such big as this, judge you on things which you are not even associated now is more disappointing.
I hope the end result will be positive and they will release my offer letter soon. i don't have any option rather than waiting.
