I would like to gain proper information/clarification regarding wages paid for national holiday working & compensatory off for the same.
As we had worked in some departments of our organisation after approval of local labour inspector. now we need to pay double wages & compensatory off to the employees worked on national holiday.
But my doubt/concern is:
1. Double wages paid with PF-ESIC or without PF-ESIC.
2. If yes, than How can can we submit contribution in PF- ESIC for 32 days
2. How can we make salary of 32 days.
Or should we treat this as Overtime/Good Work and calculated only ESIC for that.

In my opinion, working on a national or festival holiday on double wages is similar to over time work and the extra wages for such holiday is to be treated as over time wages only.
