Hi Meghana,
You need to define some tasks that you would like to implement in your organization. First, you need to divide all the tasks into different parts. For example, one part will be retention. The task under retention will be implementing a program called "Coffee with HR." Now, you need to define a deadline for the program and determine who will be responsible for it.
Thanks

Hi Meghana,
Tasks for HR would have to be generated based on the objectives and mission of the company. HR can be divided into various functions as per the requirement and then arrive at the tasks for HR.
Just to give an example, if the company is small and does not have an exponential growth plan, then you can set up the HR department where a generalist HR person can perform all the tasks including recruitment, induction, employee engagement, retention, payroll, performance management system (PMS), training, etc.
If the organization is big, then you might have to look at these functions individually and might need resources handling these functions separately.
So the Key Result Areas (KRAs) and requirements would differ based on the organization's needs.

Hi,
Thank you for the suggestions. We have 35 team members in our company, and I am the only one here working as HR. I am handling all the HR functions like recruitment, training and development, employee communication, event management, daily work, etc. Now, how should I divide the tasks?

Hi Meghana, this is Rajesh. I am also working in Core HR tasks. You can divide all HR tasks differently. For example, when it comes to recruitment, first, you have to prepare the list. It means the procedure of how you are approaching the candidate and how you are maintaining that data.

Hi Meghana,
Sorry, this is not a reply but instead, a query. Could you provide the answers? I am in a similar position. I started in Admin and transitioned to HR, which did not exist previously. We have a team of over 90 members, and I am a one-man HR Team. Can you offer the assistance you discovered?

Hi Meghna,
I am also new to HR. Previously, I had experience in Training. Our strength is similar to your company, and I tried to work out the KRA of HR, which may need a lot of changes.
Can anyone review the attachment and let me know the required changes?
Thank you,
Meenakshi

Hi Meghana,
You can divide your tasks into three categories:
1. Recruitment and Induction: This includes all the tasks related to screening of resumes, interviews, selection, joining, induction, joining formalities, etc.
2. Human Resources Operations: This includes payroll details, compensation, salary-related issues, time records of the employees, attendance, leave records, list of holidays, etc.
3. HR Management: This includes performance appraisal, HR policies, employee database, employee welfare, etc.
After defining these three categories, you can further split them into individual tasks.
Hope this helps! 😊
