Hi, I am working in a CA/legal firm. Before my current company, I was working with a manufacturing company where I used to maintain the leave register Form-15 under Rule 87 Section 84.
Now, in my current company, I need to maintain a leave record. I am confused about whether I should maintain the same Form-15 or if there is another leave policy applied in a CA firm.
Please help.

The practice of maintaining Form 15 for leave records is applicable to commercial entities covered under the Factories Act of 1948. Your current company, a CA/legal firm, is covered under the Shops and Commercial Establishment Act. Although there is no harm in maintaining the records in Form 15, I would recommend you refer to your state's applicable Shops and Commercial Establishment Act for ready reference. In case a different format is prescribed, it can be maintained.
Thank you.
