I have joined a new hospital. The place where I worked for 12 years was under MCI, and this is a private setup. They give 3 weekly offs and no gazetted holidays. CL, PL, SL— I don't know because there are no details as it's just a one-year-old establishment. I know I need to speak to the directors, but it's too soon to ask for that as I joined just one week back. What should be my strategy to explain the legality of the issues to them? TIA

Hospital comes under shops act. Refer provision of leave under your state act which you are statutorily required to follow. Weekly off must be given after 6 days of working. This is per the MW Act.
