Dear All,

Request for clarification on the following:

1. Whether parents of married or unmarried insured female employees are eligible for medical treatment in ESI Dispensary or ESI Hospital?

2. If yes, and if the ESI Hospital or Dispensary refuses to treat, whom should be approached for necessary action?

Thank you.

Hi,

Under the section, the Act states that if the parents are dependent, then yes, they are eligible for medical treatment regardless of whether they are married or unmarried. You can refer to the link [ESIC - Employee's State Insurance Corporation, Madurai](http://www.esicmadurai.org/dependants_benefits.php) for clarification.
