Dear All, as an employer, I was inquiring about a PF settlement at EPFO Delhi. According to EPFO records, the amount was transferred initially in 2006 and withdrawn in 2007. The employee has been working in the company for the last 15 years and has never applied for PF withdrawal. When I raised this point with the accounts department and showed them a copy of Form 13, in which the PF department transferred the money to a different PF account that does not belong to the employee, the accountant became very angry. He simply stated that the transfer was done and refused to provide the bank details of the account where the money was sent. The way he spoke, "Tu idhar Sun, tu kya kaam krta company me," was disrespectful.
Questions Regarding EPFO Staff Behavior and Next Steps
Now, my questions are:
1. If EPFO staff behave inappropriately and use offensive language, what actions can we take as an employer?
2. What steps can we take further, as the person is unwilling to share any information?

1. It will be better if you submit a detailed representation to the officer in charge of EPFO, clearly stating what you want.
2. After some time has passed, you may submit an RTI application to the said department to inquire about the actions taken regarding your representation.

Mr. Harsh Kumar Mehta has aptly answered. Please submit your complaint to the Commissioner of EPFO or the Office in Charge. Wait for a week or so; if you don't get any reply, you can apply with RTI. You can also escalate your complaint online, in the grievance cell.
