I worked in the company from April 15 to October 16. Later, I applied for PF withdrawal. The PF department processed my application and paid the employee's share and the employer's share in full. However, the pension contribution was paid as Rs. 13,044 instead of Rs. 19,849 (as per UAN Passbook), resulting in a shortfall of Rs. 6,805. I received the following response from the PF office regarding my grievance. Can you please advise on the reason for the underpayment? Is this in accordance with the PF office's regulations, or will they make the remaining payment at a later date?

Reply from PF Office

It has been informed that after processing your grievance, the following action(s) have been taken: As per EPF amount for F.19, the total amount will be paid. Regarding the pension fund amount, in the case of F.10C, the factor for years will be calculated. If the total service is not for completed years, the system will not consider the service of some months. The same procedure will be followed for calculating the service even in pension calculations.

Thank you.

Please note that the reimbursement of EPS depends on a calculation formula where your salary drawn and length of service is considered, and actual deductions are not linked or considered. Moreover, you do not earn interest on EPS accumulations.
