My name is Mohamed Omer. I worked as an HR & Admin Executive in a construction company from 1-11-2016 to 25-10-2016. During my tenure, I was transferred to a sister concern company twice: from 01-06-2011 to 31-03-2014, then from 01-04-2014 to 31-03-2016, and again from 01-04-2016 to 25-10-2016. I applied for Form 13 for transferring respectively. An amount of Rs. 80,000 was reflected in the employee UAN portal as well (EPF only, not EPS). I received a PF amount of Rs. 84,206, which is correctly reflected in the UAN.
However, the pension withdrawal amount I received is very low at Rs. 15,944. My total service period is almost 5 years, 4 months, and 25 days, which is considered as 5 years. My basic salary upon exit was Rs. 8,066. According to the calculation, Rs. 8,066 × 5.02 = Rs. 40,491 should have been received, but I only got Rs. 15,944. Please help with this issue. What can I do about it?

Thanks, Mr. Sharma, but EPF got transferred. They will not merge the previous company's pension amount in the passbook; they merge only the PF amount. When the PF amount gets transferred, the pension should have been transferred as well. I have lodged an online grievance on the PF site and am expecting a response from the EPF office in Bangalore.

Form 13 Submission and Claim Processing
Submitting Form 13 and the pass of claim, account 1 is transferred within 45 days. However, account 10 takes at least 3-4 months to get transferred as this amount is maintained with the EPS trust fund. Unless both the end data match, it often gets stuck.
In the passbook, everything is clear regarding when it will get opened (the site is currently being upgraded). You can see the details of which account is paid and which may be pending.
Until now (up to 31st Dec 2016), Form 19 and 10C were claimed on an account basis, not on the whole UAN accumulation basis. This is for your information.

Dear Mr. Sharma,
Thank you for your valuable comments. What is the procedure to claim the remaining pension withdrawal balance? One of my colleagues, whose salary and service (4 years), is less than mine (mine is 5.5 years), got a Pension amount of Rs. 26,000. That is why I am wondering. Could you please tell me what the procedure is to receive the rest of the balance?
Thank you very much.

This situation happens in certain conditions when the gap between two switchover (change of employer) is less than 6 months. The department software blocks the account (EPS contribution) at that specific point.
Please check if such an incident has taken place in your service records. Then, meet the PRO of your current EPFO. He will open the UAN history record and inform you where the amount is blocked. You can then proceed to get it released.
