Career Advancement and Transition Advice Needed
I am a staffing professional with close to 13 years of experience and have expertise in the fields of talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, client servicing, treasury management, end-to-end employee lifecycle, etc. I am seeking the opinions and advice of my esteemed friends here on the certifications/trainings that I could undertake for my career advancement.
Additionally, I aspire to transition to a large enterprise. However, most of the organizations I apply to mention that my profile is not suitable as I lack the specific HR experience they seek. What changes or additions can I make in my CV/career to transition from staffing firms to a large enterprise? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate your response. I have applied for HRBP roles in various organizations. However, my CV has not been considered as they say that my CV is not suitable. They need resources who have worked in areas such as compensation & benefits, organization development, etc., for at least 4-5 years. Although I have experience in all facets of HR and the entire employee life-cycle, coming from a staffing background seems to act as a disadvantage here.
Even if I were to continue in my current domain, what kind of certifications and trainings could I pursue to advance my career and enter a larger enterprise?

You did not mention your academic qualifications, so my comments will be based on the available information. Writing a CV is an art as it is expected to provide accurate information about a candidate to a prospective employer. HR deals with many aspects of the employee lifecycle, and claiming to know the entire gamut of it may not be realistic. It could also make it challenging and practically impossible during an interview session.
In my opinion, you should choose 2 or 3 areas in HR that interest you the most and focus on those. Additionally, I believe your experience may not be sufficient for an appointment as VP - HR. I hope you will kindly pardon me if my comments sounded rude.

Thank you, Soumitra, for your feedback. I appreciate it. However, my query was about the training and certifications I could pursue to advance in my career. As a staffing professional, my primary focus is recruitment. However, working in staffing also involves significant participation in employee relations and client servicing, among other aspects of HR. Can you suggest any certifications that would be beneficial? I hold a BA with Honors in Economics and a PGDBM in HR. I am not aiming for a VP - HR role, but I am interested in knowing if obtaining certifications or undergoing specific training programs could enhance my profile and help me progress in my career. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

HR BP Role and Transitioning to Larger Organizations
The HR BP role can involve HR process implementation, HR strategic involvement, or a combination of both. Multinationals or large organizations often seek individuals with this experience but not necessarily from a recruitment background, as the skills required for creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) differ from those of recruitment. Therefore, having HR BP experience in smaller organizations is beneficial before transitioning to larger organizations. As far as I know, there is no renowned certificate that can provide this specific experience. However, local institutes can offer training in the strategic aspects of HR.
Thank you.
