I joined a company as a Java developer five months ago, and I am still in the probation period. Although I am a Java developer, I am currently working on PHP, so I have decided to leave the current company. However, the company is asking me to serve a four-month notice period.
Company Agreement
Termination of employment by the Company requires a three-month advance notice in writing or payment of three months' basic pay in lieu of the notice period. Termination of employment by the Employee requires serving a three-month advance notice in writing. Such notice may not be offset by unused leave. If the Employee’s service with the company is less than a year, then the Employee is required to serve a four-month advance notice in writing.
I do not want to work on PHP. How can I leave this company without serving four months? I have requested HR 100 times, but they are saying we can't break the agreement.
