Dear Seniors,
I have two queries:
1. Regarding monthly salary proof, I have over 9 years of experience in HR generalist profile and administration as well. Currently, I am working in a proprietorship manufacturing unit where I receive my salary as 50% cash or 50% cheque. However, I possess a salary certificate for every month signed by the accountant, reflecting 100% of my complete salary. Would this be valid for another company if they request salary slips and proof? Our company prefers not to issue 100% of the salary in cheques. How can I persuade a potential employer (MNCs and other companies) regarding my salary? Please provide your valuable suggestions to me as soon as possible.
2. My MBA in HR degree is through correspondence and the certificate is ISO certified. Would this pose a problem in securing a good HR job in a reputable company or MNC? What degree or educational qualification should I pursue for a successful future in HR? Please offer your suggestions promptly.
Thank you.

Hi Priti,
You have mentioned that you receive a signed salary slip from the Accounts department. So, no worries unless the new employer demands a bank statement. Also, whether you are paid 50% cash, the same would be mentioned in the appointment or salary revision letter; that should suffice.
Yes, nowadays your educational institute matters; however, it can be superseded by your performance in the interview. You can also plan for an executive course from any top B Schools in India simultaneously.

Dear Priti,
Mr. Mahesh has rightly said, to prove your salary figure, you can produce the salary slip. However, if it is a must for you to produce bank details, which will reflect half salary, there is one more criterion to prove your words. If you are covered under PF-ESI, your company must have deposited the contributions on the applicable full salary. You can generate PF Passbook and show the contributions which will match with your salary slips too.
For further successful career, you already have 9 years of experience, so you are the best one to decide your career. In my opinion, you can pursue a course in Personnel Management (which covers human resource planning, recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, payroll, statutory requirements, etc., the core field of HR). It can be done through correspondence or regular mode as well (as per your availability).
Hope this will solve your query.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for the reply, but I am not eligible for ESI and PF is not applicable in our company as the manpower is less than 20. I receive a Rs. 25,000 cheque and Rs. 25,000 in cash every month because the employer mentioned that we cannot show a salary of Rs. 50,000 in records; instead, only Rs. 30,000 per month is registered on ESI. If I require a salary certificate in the future, the employer will provide the certificate and payslip. Is it correct to prove my income to a new company or employer?
Please advise.
