Dear All,

Hi, I am involved in Materials/Spares Planning, Procurement, Inventory management, and Warehouse operations. Currently, I am seeking tips and sources for creating workstations in the warehouse at the Inbound and Outbound areas. This involves activities such as Picking, Packing of parts, Master packing, QR Code generation, scanning, and labeling. I aim to establish a systematic workstation to carry out these tasks efficiently and in less time. If anyone has experience in this area, please provide advice.

Thank you.

Hi Dinesh, thanks for your response. It's our central warehouse at Bhiwandi, Mumbai, and it is basically spare parts of home appliances. It is stock transferred to branches all over India based on stocking norms or requirements, and from branch warehouses; in turn, the material is billed to our 3P service centers. It is quite a sizeable volume delivered to and dispatched from the central warehouse. We would like to have better inbound/outbound workstations considering the major volumes handled at the central warehouse.

Hi Govind,

Has your issue been sorted out? I have dealt with Spare Parts Warehouse and implemented LEAN in warehouses in and around Bhiwandi. I would be more than happy to help you out here. I have experience with General Motors and Woolworths warehouses. If needed, please get in touch.

Regards,
