Issue with Incorrect Mobile Numbers in UAN Activation
We are in the business of manpower supply; hence, we are carrying out the UAN activation procedure for our employees through multiple UAN activation links. In doing so, we have mistakenly entered incorrect mobile numbers for some employees. Our query is regarding how we can change the registered mobile numbers in these cases. Without the UAN password, we are unable to access our UAN portal and thus cannot change the mobile numbers. The wrong numbers we have entered also show as unavailable. How can we resolve this issue so that the concerned employees can receive information about their PF accumulation on their correct registered numbers? We have already reached out to the UAN help desk and the toll-free number but have not received any valuable feedback.

This is a simple way to change the mobile number. Go to the website https://employerclaims.epfoservices.in and select bulk_uan_registration_form.php. On the website, provide the employee name, UAN number, PF number, and cell number. Afterward, it will be activated automatically.

However, how will it be activated, as it has already been activated on another number? Therefore, if we follow the procedure as you suggested, the result will indicate that the UAN number is already registered on another mobile number.

If the mobile number is entered incorrectly, you can correct it through the UAN Helpdesk on the EPFO site. To do so, go to EPFO, then Employee Services, UAN Helpdesk, select as Member, choose the Problem Type, and then select the Password Forgot & Mobile Number Change option.

Hi Nilesh,
I am also facing the same problem. My employer entered the wrong contact number while processing my UAN. Now, I am not able to activate my PF account since I don't have the OTP, which would have gone to the wrong number. Please also let me know how to resolve this issue if you have any answers.
