Hi,
I have 3.2 years of experience in the service industry (Networking, BPO). Although I do not want to work in BPO due to past reasons, I recently completed my M.B.A. in International Business. Now, I want to pursue a career in management. I am confused about which job position I should apply for. Could anyone please advise me on what roles I can apply for with my background in International Business and experience?
Thanks

Hi Flora,
You have an MBA in International Marketing, which is good. I want to ask one question: why did you select your profession as a BPO when you have a certificate in international marketing? Nowadays, there are many jobs in the marketing sector. You will have a bright future when you have skills and communication in marketing.

Career Transition from BPO to International Marketing
MBA in International Marketing and a BPO job is really a mismatch between the two. Chances for international marketers are quite bright in global firms like Colgate-Palmolive, CPC International, Eli Lilly, Gillette, and Nestle. These firms hire candidates for international marketing positions. However, most companies choose people who have shown their worth working in domestic operations. Since many international job positions are awarded to personnel within these firms, the best way to obtain such a job is probably by beginning in a domestic sales job for an international company.
So, best of luck!

Hello Flora,
Further to the option mentioned by PS Dhingra--'best way to obtain such a job is probably by beginning in a domestic sales job for an international company'--please note that this would essentially mean that you would be restarting your career as a fresher in MBA-International Marketing.
While the BPO experience, per se, may not be useful here, the skills you gathered in the BPO job would surely be of use in any business development role.
All the best.
Regards,
TS
