Hi All,

Please guide me. I am currently working as an EA in an MNC and have more than 10 years of experience in this field. I would like to progress in my professional life. As I understand, the EA position is considered a dead-end in terms of career growth. Could you please provide me with some alternative options? I hold an MBA in HR and a Post Graduate degree in Public Administration. I also have some experience in recruitment. Would it be advisable for me to pursue a role as an HR Executive at this stage?

This is a good move, but it depends on your priorities and the opportunities available. I would suggest that you approach your current organization for the changeover in HR, since you already have the qualifications and have served this organization for 10 years. Besides, you can also apply to other companies for a suitable job in HR, but you may have to compromise on your salary as you will be treated as a fresher in HR. Therefore, checking with your current organization would be the appropriate option.

All the best!

Thank you, Dinesh, for your insightful reply. This will definitely be helpful in deciding my career move. One thing I forgot to mention in my message is that my current company is not in a position to place me in HR, so I need to decide whether to continue in the same line or explore testing in another field.

Thanks a lot for your help.
