I have over 7 years of experience in instructional designing in the eLearning domain. I am currently working as an Assistant Manager in curriculum design. I would like to switch to L&D to broaden my opportunities. How should I plan my career to achieve this?
I am planning on getting certified in Instructional Design and Certified L&D Manager from CAMI (Carlton Advanced Management Institute). Will these certifications help me? Are they of any value?

You may acquire a certificate from the institute of your choice, but one thing is sure: in the Indian market, there are hardly any case studies of ROI on Training. Certificates may add weight to your CV, but there is no guarantee that they will help you secure a good job. Consider searching for a job in the Training Department; you might even find one without a certificate.

If you have a good understanding of instructional designing, then I fail to understand why you want to go for certification in it. If you think you are good at facilitation, then you can directly search for a job in TnD. A certification from CAMI would be a good idea if you feel there are aspects of facilitation you are not aware of.
