Subject: Salary Slip Submission Query

Dear Sir,

I am currently employed in a small-scale automobile industry with a staff of 60. The company does not deduct any PF and pays the salary in cash. I have recently received a job offer from a larger company, and they are requesting a salary slip as part of the documentation.

I have been working at my current company for approximately 2.5 years. While my current employer provided me with a joining letter and a salary certificate, they do not issue salary slips. The salary mentioned in the certificate is Rs. 25,000 per month.

I am seeking guidance on what alternative document I could submit in place of a salary slip to the new company. Your advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Though there is a law to issue a salary slip to employees, pay salary by cheque/through a bank account (in Maharashtra), and deduct PF/ESI/PT, etc. from salary as and when deductible, there are many employers who do not comply. Since your salary is Rs. 25,000 per month, you neither fall under PF (presuming your basic salary since joining is more than Rs. 6,500/Rs. 15,000) nor under ESI. You can inform your prospective employer accordingly.

You can also inform your prospective employer that your present employer does not have a system of issuing salary slips to employees. However, as proof of your salary, the employer has issued you a salary certificate. You also have a joining letter in your possession. These two documents are good enough for you to provide to your prospective employer.

New company offered me 30k salary but asked for the previous 3 months' salary slips, which are not provided by our current company. The current company does not provide any kind of salary slip, and the salary is also paid in cash.

Ask your present company for form 16 telling them that you are applying for a loan and bank wants form 16 for past 3 years.or you can make copy of the voucher through which you are paid.

sir, In current company salary is in cash mode directly in hand. they only take the sign on register

Then try to get form 16 and if not at least ctc breakup . try to get copy of that register

but that register copy accepted by new company. and they paid salery 25 k.without any ctc breakup details

In your previous employment, if you were on a contract, they must have deducted 10% TDS from your monthly salary and issued Form 16A periodically as long as you were with them. Otherwise, they should have provided you with Form 16 if you were given an appointment. These are additional supporting documents along with your appointment letter from your previous employer. If you maintained a good relationship with the employer, you can request salary details certified by them. I hope this suggestion aligns with the advice given by other experts.
