I was working outside India and have now returned to India and secured a job in an MNC. The new company is asking for my release letter (mandatory) from my previous company, which I do not have, as companies in the country where I worked before never issue any release letters. It is not possible for me to obtain the release letter now from my previous employer as the company has become a shell company. What should I do now? Should I fake a release letter? Nothing in my resume is false. Kindly advise urgently.

Please clarify the same facts to your new company. You definitely will have some proof of release letters, such as your resignation letter, initial appointment order, salary slips, and credits to your account for final payments. Do not falsify any release letters. I am sure the MNC will understand and accept your explanation.
