You could have provided sufficient information such as the nature of the industry of your organization, the finished product, and the type of customers you have.

Implementing the Balanced Scorecard (BSC)

Yes, you can implement the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) in your organization, but it depends on two factors. The first is your organization's maturity, and the second is your management's willingness. Many times, management shows initial enthusiasm to adopt new strategies, but once they realize the costs involved in implementation, they tend to hesitate.

Alternative Approaches

By the way, there is no need to strictly follow the solutions or theories from Western countries. There are a few things you can do with the assistance of local consultants to achieve about 80-90% of the results that the BSC offers. Once you reach that level of performance, then you may consider adopting the Balanced Scorecard. At that point, you might even find that BSC is unnecessary. If you wish to know more about this approach, please feel free to contact me on my mobile.

All the best!

Since yours is a small cluster of 80, it is the right time to implement BSC as it is a very good initiative. However, as rightly said by Mr. Dinesh, it often fades in the long run as the management's zeal vanishes when it comes to high costing.

Consider Alternative Strategies

Consider working on BPR or OURS, where you can demonstrate to the management the output at a lower cost compared to BSC.

Wishing you great success.
