Hi all, Our company has not been paying PF and ESI for the past year due to a lack of funds. Now, some employees need to be relieved from the organization. My question is: Do we need to pay the PF to the EPF account for this, or do we need to apply the previous EPF balance and settle the present F&F with the deducted amount? Please help with this.

You can make a representation to the appropriate offices of ESIC in your area, intimating them about the non-compliance by your employer and requesting the said office to provide necessary benefits under the ESI Act, notwithstanding the fact that compliance has not been made.
Similarly, in respect of EPF, you can also lodge a complaint with the said office and request the updating of your accounts by making recoveries from the employer.
