Hi all, my first company has closed. I just found out today and currently have an offer from TCS, which will be my fifth company. I worked at my first company until 2007, but now it is closed. I do not have any account or salary slips, just an experience and a release letter. However, my current and last companies are large MNCs. Will this be a problem during TCS verification? What should I do?

No company offers a job to a candidate based solely on what they did in 2007. If you are from an MNC, prove your ability to them in the interview and tests. As long as you do not lie about your earlier salary or perks, you do not have to worry at all.
Having been on more than 1,000 selection boards, I assure you that we seek quality, backed by dedication and sincerity. So, go for the interview and prove to them that you are very good in your profession.
Wishing you all the best and sending blessings.

Well, if you have named TCS as one of your past employers in your resume and they have still considered your candidature and offered you a job, there should not be a problem, and you must not worry much about it. Until they ask you for anything related to your past employment with them/TCS, you should not think about verification or anything but need to be confident with your present work experience, knowledge, and skills as they matter the most actually.
Best of luck

Could the expert please advise whether I should join TCS? Though they haven't contacted me to date with any queries, either they didn't reach out to my first company, which is almost 8 years old based on my work experience, or they may have only gone back to the last 3 companies. However, I am worried about what if they come up with such a query after 3-4 months of my joining TCS. Currently, TCS has my client billing in the project as I was already interviewed by the client, and the client has accepted me in the interview.
