Dear Seniors, I am really grateful to you for solving many issues. This time I am facing an issue with a contract employee. We closed his term in August 2014. He is asking us to reinstate him and has sought local support from politicians to come to the factory. His behavior is unacceptable, so we have removed him from the muster. In this case, how should I tackle this issue? He is under the contractor's role, so we have not issued any letters to him. He is threatening to complain to the police station and other authorities. How should I deal with this situation?
Please prioritize addressing this matter.
Thank you.

If he is a contractor, then ask the contractor to take care of the same. If he is interested in filing a police complaint, then let him do that. The police are not the concerned authority to do justice in this case. Make all documents and evidence about his foul behavior.

I read your query immediately on your post but I avoided responding to you. Our learned member Shri. Prashant has given you the correct answer.
I avoided giving an answer to you since I had a strong objection to your statement, which is given below in the quote.
If you did it, then you need to face the repercussions. If not, follow Shri. Prashant.

As the employee you have mentioned was a contract employee, please ensure that you have a signed copy (acknowledgment) of the appointment letter. In case the employee approaches the labor office, you need to be on the safe side with all the necessary copies.

Generally, I avoid giving answers if the case is not properly presented. As I said earlier, this thread I came across immediately upon its posting and I just pass it on. If HR professionals make a representation before anyone, what will be the result of the case?
