You cannot withdraw PF online and it has to be routed only through your employer

Hi,

You may transfer your PF amount from the old PF number to the new one online. However, the transfer process also requires approval from both employers (present and previous). You need to maintain strong follow-up with both for approval.

Hi Tritek,

It's a fact that you can't access your PF without keeping your employer informed, but many times, some employers, specifically HR personnel, do not cooperate with ex-employees when it comes to PF withdrawal or transfer. However, as per the EPF Act of 1952, there are specific protocols to be followed. In cases where the employer engages in unfair trade practices, the law can protect you. My initial advice is to follow what Dneha suggested.

You should have salary slips containing all necessary PF details such as the PF account number and Establishment Code. Please check your PF balance using the following link: [EPFO](http://epfindia.com) - [link updated to site home]. Before checking, review the link provided by Dneha to understand how to check your PF online.

For online registration in the EPF database and to download an E-passbook, visit the link provided by Dneha.

If you wish to proceed with online transfer, go to the link: [EPFO](http://epfindia.com) - [link updated to site home]. To claim/withdraw/transfer your PF account from your former employer to the new one, ensure you meet the terms and conditions as per the act. Fill out the necessary claim forms as required using the link provided and submit them to your employer, the local EPFO office, keeping a copy for yourself.

Additionally, write an official email to your employer outlining the necessary steps. If you still face challenges with your ex-employer, request a final consideration on the matter. If your requests are still unaddressed, register your grievance using the link below in the employee section under "Register your grievance": [Epfo (Govt. of India)](http://www.epfindia.com/index.html).

I hope one of these options proves helpful.

Have a nice day.

Regards,

A K Singh

Dear Mr. Tritek,

Your one-line message cannot be followed. What do you actually want? Do you want to withdraw your provident fund from EPFO as an employee? If you have left the job, you can apply for the transfer of your PF account in Form No. 13. Since you have worked for 7 years, the employer must have allotted a PF account number to you, and you must have received your Annual Statement in Form No. 23. Withdrawal of PF is allowed only in case of unemployment. It is not advisable to withdraw PF as you will lose service computation in pension payment in due course.

Please detail your problems so that experts in this thread can advise you suitably.
