Please let me know if the minimum wages were revised by notification dated 03/03/14. Thereafter, D.A. was declared for the period 03/03/14 to 30/06/14 at Rs.1624, which was reduced from Rs.2898.70. Please confirm if the same Rs.1624 is the revised D.A. to reschedule the minimum wages. This rule applies to workmen who are below the minimum wages but not to those with wages above the minimum.
Subsequently, the D.A. for the period 01/07/14 to 31/12/14 was declared at Rs.1652. The D.A. for workers above the minimum wages would be Rs.28, calculated as 1652 - 1624.
Therefore, workers above the minimum wages will receive Rs.28 for the period 01/07/14 to 31/12/14. This means that workers above the minimum wages are not entitled to receive Rs.1624.
Please provide clarification if needed.
