Dear Seniors, kindly help me to get information about the query given below. My senior told me to never accept a letter with a signature that includes all employees or more than two employees, whether it is a request letter or an apology letter. This is because it indicates the formation of a union and is referred to as Red Fort in official language. Is this true, as I have never heard about it before? Kindly provide your feedback and valuable suggestions.

Thank you.

Regards,
Neetu

Yes, you should not accept any application addressed to you with the signature of two or more persons. It is an indication of the formation of a union, and groupism may be used in the future to threaten management over any issues. However, using the same words and meaning, all staff can submit separate applications individually with a single person as the addressor, and these submissions can be accepted. Even if done in a rude manner, you can convey the same message, likening it to mutiny.
