Anupama, as per the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 in India, you are eligible for gratuity payment since you have completed more than 5 years of continuous service with your employer. To proceed further:
1. Calculate your gratuity amount using the formula: (Last drawn salary * 15 days * number of years of service) / 26.
2. Submit a written application to your employer requesting the payment of gratuity.
3. Your employer should respond within 30 days and make the payment within 30 days from the date it becomes payable.
4. If your employer fails to make the payment, you can approach the Controlling Authority under the Act for assistance.
5. Ensure to keep copies of all communication and documents related to your gratuity claim for future reference.
