What is the Cognizant background check process? Will they conduct a background check before joining? What is the third-party company that performs background checks for Cognizant?

I worked for a small company with an employee count of 50. I am not sure whether the company is registered in India or not. I am worried; will this become a problem?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Yes, there would be a pre-joining background verification. However, if your firm was not registered, that's none of your fault. Speak to your Hiring Manager at CTS and give them the contacts of your reporting leaders in that firm. Provide enough evidence of your work there and establish your experience as early as possible. That should be enough. Wish you all the best!

Hi,

I got selected in Cognizant. Regarding my past company: I worked in four companies in my career. Out of those, my first two companies are now closed, and those companies were not private limited, but very small. I have a relieving letter and experience letter from these two companies; no other documents. I have provided some contacts of HR who were active at that time in both companies. Could you please let me know if Cognizant will have any problem because those companies closed, and it was not my fault.
