I have resigned from my MNC company, and after a month, I have revoked it (taken it back). However, due to some personal issues, I need to submit my resignation again. My HR is stating that there is a lock-in period or policy in place that prohibits me from resigning again for the next 6 months after revoking my initial resignation.
To my knowledge, there should not be any such policy or rule. If an employee wishes to leave a company, they should be allowed to do so without restrictions. Additionally, I have not accepted any conditions like this in my Appointment Letter or elsewhere.
I would appreciate urgent guidance on this matter.

There are no statutory norms that prevent someone from submitting their resignation again after it has been revoked. It is advisable to review your appointment letter once more, as you may have agreed to a clause that addresses this situation.

First of all, submit your resignation. Let them deny the acceptance in writing with the clause stating that the employee cannot submit a resignation for a period of 6 months from revoking the earlier resignation. As such, there is no provision, rule, or law; it is just a tactic.

There is no such lock-in period at all. As you gave a resignation letter the second time, the company got annoyed and wanted to teach you a lesson. So they bluff about a "locking period." Send the resignation letter to HR, marking it to your line manager through email. At the same time, request them to acknowledge it immediately, reply with the acceptance letter within 5 working days, and relieve you within the specified notice period. If the company fails to reciprocate, then legally notify them that your resignation is considered implied as they failed to respond. You will then be relieved.
