Dear members, I was working in a company in Bangalore for more than 3 years. Due to some unwanted problems that happened in my life, I quit my job without notice. I was unemployed after leaving the company. After that, I approached the company after a few months and informed them of my problems, stating that I wanted my settlements. They only gave me the termination letter. I didn't bother about other things. Since then, I have not been employed till now. Now, I want to withdraw my PF. Please suggest the procedure to withdraw. I believe the account will have been inactive for almost 3 years. I need your valuable suggestions.

Regards, Krishna.

Don't worry about the inactivity of your accumulations. Please fill out the PF settlement forms, Form 19 and 10C, attach a photocopy of your bank passbook, and submit the application to your PF office after obtaining the required signature. Your account will be settled shortly with interest. Notary public attestation is not necessary.

If the company deposits your PF contributions, then there is no need to worry about the same. The Government of India has recently announced an Online PF withdrawal system. As per my knowledge, it will be introduced in February 2014. You can fill your PF claim online, and the PF office will automatically credit your money after verification from your employer.

Another simple way, as suggested by @NARASIMHAN, is to withdraw your PF.

Procedure for PF Withdrawal

Please note that if your employer paid the PF dues for 3 years, you can claim the same with Form No. 19 & 10C. Ensure you get a signature from your SB Account bank manager with the relevant particulars correctly, such as the Date of Joining and Date of Leaving.

Thanks.

There is no need for an affidavit. There is only a need for an explanation letter stating the reason for the delayed claim. Other formalities remain the same:

- Form 19
- Form 10C
- Bank passbook copy
- Address/ID proof copy
- Last year's Form 3A

All documents should be signed by the employer.

That's all!
