Hi,
My wife did not opt for LTA and Medical Reimbursement as part of her flexible salary because I was claiming those benefits in this financial year. Our medical expenditure unexpectedly rose this year, and now I have over 30k of bills. When she wanted to claim it from her office, she was told that she could not claim the exemption because she did not opt for the package in March last year. I also have travel receipts that she is not allowed to claim as LTA for the same reason. I wanted to know if I can claim them since these are the exemptions that the Government provides, and sometimes it is difficult to predict in March what expenses will arise by the end of the year.
