I received an offer letter with salary details from a company, and they are requesting a BCC copy of the resignation letter for confirmation. I am scheduled to join the new company in 15 days. I have already resigned from my current job and accepted their offer. However, after 4 days, they contacted me and informed me that they have canceled the vacancy.

What Should I Do?

Please advise.

In simple terms, this is an unorganized way of dealing with people. Offering and then backing off may somehow lead to a definition of cheating. You should immediately consult your current employer and apologize for resigning due to personal stress, then withdraw your resignation. You may withdraw your resignation immediately if it's so far unaccepted. Do not share what exactly happened with your current employer as this will add nothing but may create unnecessary chaos.

Though you may take up the matter, it won't be a good idea to work with such an employer who doesn't value human values. What kind of human resource practices would they have if they withdraw a vacant position just like that? Instead, you should be happy you were saved from entering into the wrong organization.
