Hi Everyone,
I have finished my UG in B.Sc. (ISM) Information System Management last year and have started working in a software company as an assistant HR. Due to a lack of opportunities and an MBA degree, I am not able to advance my career. Therefore, I want to pursue an MBA in a reputable distance learning university to enhance my skills and gain insights into various HR areas.
Please let me know if you are aware of any good distance learning universities that offer an MBA in HR. I would prefer universities in Chennai.
Looking forward to your kind replies.

Hi Priyanka,
As you already have experience in HR, it is better to pursue an MBA in HR. Even if you obtain an MBA through Correspondence/Distance mode, many organizations will not prefer those qualifications. However, a few small and mid-sized organizations may consider that degree. You can even pursue it at Madras University or ICFAI. There are also private institutions that offer MBA degrees.
I am also an MBA graduate through correspondence from the same Madras University and I have been receiving job offers from small and mid-sized organizations. To be competitive, you should equip yourself with the necessary skills.
I hope this helps!

Thank you for replying jeevarathnam. Yes, I do have experience in HR but it's only 6 months of experience. Moreover, my job responsibilities in HR are quite minimal.
Is Madras University good? Is it valuable? I have heard that even Anna University is good, but I am very confused about which university to apply to.
