Hi, I am Himanshu. I signed an offer letter through email (not on paper) from one company, but due to some personal reasons, it is not possible for me to join the company. Today, the company told me that they will file a case against me in court. Can they do that? Following are the format and lines...

Legal proceedings will not happen by sending out an email stating that you join on a particular date. [You haven't joined the organization yet.] Even if you had joined, your document with them would not prove an appeal. When someone joins the company, they are said to be on probation, which will not affect the same.
Bonds and Their Legality in India
Bonds are also said to be illegal in India. Therefore, you have no reason to worry. It is just a parsimonious game played by such employers to save their resources. Relax and look forward to newer opportunities which you think could fasten together.
Good luck..!
