Any person who has worked for even one day and died, their family is eligible for PF pension. The employee becomes a member of EPF on the day of joining. The nominee or dependents of the employee can submit Form-20 to receive the PF contribution amount, Form-10 D for Pension, and Form 5 for EDLI Benefit. You can also apply for funeral expenses and dependent benefits from ESI. For ESI dependent benefits, they will be given only when the employee has worked for the minimum period as mentioned in ESIC. Please check with your PF & ESIC authority for the process since it has been more than 9 months.
