Hi all,

Actually, this question is about business setup. I am very interested in starting a housekeeping business in India. Can anybody help me with the legal formalities required, like the licenses needed to start a housekeeping business? I am well-versed in the process of housekeeping and rates as well. The only thing I'm unsure about is what sort of license one requires.

I have a checklist here. Please let me know if it's fine:

1. ESIC form
2. PF Form
3. Service Tax Form
4. PAN Number of the company

What other documentation is required? Please help.

Thank you for your reply. I have gone through the information, and it's very useful. Now, please let me know if we require anything else apart from these documents, like any sort of licensing from the government. Also, is it necessary to obtain all the documents as mentioned before starting the business?

6. Are charges on an hourly basis or job basis?
7. What could be the service charges for 2 BHK/3 BHK flats and bungalows in metro cities?
8. Is it necessary to rent a small place/godown to keep all supplies?
