It is a unique presentation on Stress Management. Some people present stress only as a negative emotion, yours being different. As you rightly pointed out, meeting deadlines, planning a tight schedule in the day, and hectic travel all induce some stress. Is this referred to as Eustress? The benevolent aspects of stress have been brought out nicely.

May I point out a statistical inaccuracy to Contributor Bharghavi? India's current population is estimated to be 1.22 billion. So the suicide percentages would drastically come down. However, that does not justify the absolute numbers in any way, particularly when we take pride in announcing our advancing education levels, growing economic development, being a force to reckon with, etc. It is a concerning area that needs to be addressed.

Thank You Mr. Raghunathan... Sorry for the wrong figure... I actually had to put it as billions instead of Millions. I correct myself.. Thanks for the right figure Regards, Bharghavi

Thanks but strange that suicide statistics does to arouse concern unless it is politically motivated like farmers' suicide. The volume of suicide has almost doubled in last 30 years.

Thanks, but it's strange that suicide statistics do not arouse concern unless it is politically motivated, such as farmers' suicides. The volume of suicides has almost doubled in the last 30 years.

Do you infer that male suicide cases outnumber female cases? Do you suggest that females are better equipped to manage stress? Are suicides solely a result of individuals being unable to cope with stress?

Please clarify your interpretations of the figures provided. I am a bit confused about your intended message. Feel free to correct us if we are mistaken.

Thank you for such a good presentation. I fully agree that most of the problems faced by people are mainly due to stress. In today's world, people are sacrificing today for a better tomorrow. This mad race is taking a toll on everyone, resulting in suicide, sickness, divorce, and even murders. They are so busy that they have forgotten to relax, until one fine day they collapse. A few simple steps can change your life, so why not implement them?

Thanks, dear Anita. Very well said. You can link the malady to a detriment in productivity. It's strange that suicide statistics do not arouse concern unless it is politically motivated, like farmers' suicides. The volume of suicides has almost doubled in the last 30 years.
