My gross salary was Rs. 14,500.00 in the month of Apr-12, and the increment was due in April. However, the increment was delayed from the management side and was released in the month of May-12. Now, my revised salary is Rs. 17,500.00. ESIC contribution deducts on Rs. 17,500.00, i.e., Rs. 307.00, or it will be applicable to the statutory salary limit of ESIC Rs. 15,000.00, i.e., the maximum ESIC contribution amount of Rs. 263.00 per month. Please reply.

As your gross pay exceeds Rs 15,000, you are not liable for any deduction for the ESIC Contribution. For any further clarification, feel free to write or discuss.
