Dear Mentors, Which working days we should mention in Half Yearly return Form 22 column number 8 under Factory Act. ? Last six month working days or total average maydays? Please suggest.

You have to mention only the working days for the last six months, excluding all weekly offs (Sundays) and all paid holidays given to employees by your organization.
e.g. Working Days = Total Days of the last six months - (All Weekly offs + All Paid Holidays)
I think it is enough.

dear, in that column you have to only write the actual working days. means you have to count the all days in which working has been done either they are weekly off or they paid holiday.

We cannot count the weekly offs and paid holidays as working days. It is compulsory for any organization to give a weekly off and paid holiday to all its workers/employees. If workers/employees work on any weekly off or paid holiday, the company has to pay them as overtime and not as a normal working day.

Dear O. B. Gautam,
We cannot count the Weekly Offs and Paid Holidays in working days. It is compulsory for any organization to give a weekly off and paid holiday to all its workers/employees. If workers/employees worked on any WO or PH, the company has to pay them as overtime and not as a normal working day.

I think if a working day continues on any WO/PH and it's compensated, then it will be counted as a working day. Total working days equal how many days the factory has run. I am not talking about OT, but due to some production planning or any other reason if the factory has worked on WO/PH and the same has been compensated, then WO/PH will count as working days.
